Broker integration is not a plug-in — it is a structured pipeline built for each venue.
Every supported broker in the Mercer & Co platform is connected via a dedicated adapter that handles authentication tokens, order serialisation, and fill confirmation independently. When a strategy generates a signal, the execution pipeline validates the order against the broker's current margin requirements and rate limits before submission. Fill confirmations are returned to the strategy engine within milliseconds, and the position ledger is updated in real time. Clients receive a configured n8n-style pipeline document specific to their broker set, a 12-point integration checklist, and a recorded walkthrough of their live connection at onboarding. Typical setup time from contract signature to first live order is 24 to 48 hours.
Services Available on the Platform
Each service is scoped individually and can be activated independently or as a bundle.
Strategy Automation
Transform a documented trading strategy into a live, fully automated execution process. The team reviews the entry and exit logic, maps it to the platform's rule engine, and configures position sizing according to the account parameters provided. Automation covers equities, ETFs, forex pairs, and crypto where broker support allows. Clients supply the strategy; Mercer & Co supplies the execution infrastructure.
Backtesting as a Service
Submit a strategy specification and receive a structured backtest report within five business days. Reports include equity curve analysis, maximum drawdown periods, Sharpe and Sortino ratios, and a comparison of results under three different slippage assumptions. Backtesting results reflect the costs and latency of the client's chosen broker. Note: historical performance does not guarantee future results and market conditions can change significantly.
Risk Control Configuration
Define and deploy risk rules at the strategy, account, and portfolio level. Mercer & Co configures drawdown ceilings, position concentration limits, and session-based kill switches tailored to the client's risk appetite. The risk engine operates independently of the strategy logic so that limits are enforced even if a strategy signal arrives during a period of unusual market volatility.
Broker Integration Setup
Establish authenticated, monitored connections between the platform and up to five broker accounts. Supported venues include Interactive Brokers, Alpaca, Binance, and select MiFID II-regulated European brokers. Each integration is tested with paper orders before going live, and connection health is monitored 24 hours a day. Clients are notified immediately if a broker API returns errors or if a connection drops.
Monitoring Dashboard Access
Every active subscription includes access to the indigo-tech monitoring interface: a real-time view of all connected brokers, strategy status, open positions, daily P&L, and system latency. Alerts can be routed to email, Telegram, or a custom webhook endpoint. Dashboard access is browser-based and requires no additional software installation.
Signal → risk validation → broker routing → fill confirmation.
Common Questions About the Platform
Direct answers to the questions most traders ask before subscribing.
Which brokers are currently supported?
The platform currently integrates with Interactive Brokers, Alpaca, Binance, and a selection of MiFID II-regulated European brokers. The supported broker list is updated quarterly. If your broker is not on the current list, contact the team — custom integrations are evaluated on a case-by-case basis under the Enterprise plan.
Does Mercer & Co manage my trading capital?
No. Mercer & Co is a technology provider. The platform automates the execution of strategies defined and owned by the client. Capital remains in the client's own broker account at all times. Mercer & Co does not hold, manage, or advise on client funds.
What happens if my broker API goes down?
The monitoring layer detects broker API failures within seconds and triggers an immediate alert to the client via email and optional Telegram message. Open positions are not automatically closed on a connection failure — the platform pauses new order submission until connectivity is restored and confirmed. Clients can configure a manual override procedure during onboarding.
Can I run more than one strategy simultaneously?
Yes. The number of concurrent strategies depends on the subscription plan. The Start plan supports one active strategy slot; the Pro plan supports five; the Enterprise plan is uncapped. Strategies can run across different broker accounts simultaneously, and the risk engine applies limits at both the individual strategy and the portfolio level.
Is the platform suitable for traders outside Romania?
Yes. The platform is available to traders across the EU and in several non-EU jurisdictions. The interface and support are provided in English. Regulatory compliance requirements vary by country, and the client is responsible for ensuring that automated trading is permitted under their local regulatory framework.
“The backtesting service saved us from deploying a strategy that looked strong on paper but collapsed under realistic slippage assumptions. The report was detailed and arrived ahead of schedule. We adjusted the entry filter and the revised backtest showed a meaningfully better Sharpe ratio.”
